John Longbottom

Professional saxophonist based in Richmond, Virginia. John Longbottom maintains a busy schedule for weddings, special events, nightlife as well as provies recording sessions and private tutoring. John is well known for is dynamic takes on both classics and current pop hits, and he love impromptu requests on the dance floor!

John’s love of music started at a young age, and he first picked up the saxophone when he was 11 years old. He began playing paid gigs in high school and from there went on to earn my Bachelor’s of Music degree with a focus in Jazz Studies from George Mason University. He has had the pleasure of performing at celebrated venues such as the Hylton Performing Arts Center, Songybrd Music House, Twins Jazz Club, Blues Alley, and The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, as well as many weddings, private events, and local bars and restaurants across Richmond, Washington, D.C., and beyond.
